Completing the short course in career guidance has been a transformative experience for me. The training provided a clear, practical framework for supporting individuals through various career stages, from self-discovery to decision-making and goal setting for career satisfaction. I gained valuable insights into career theories, , education systems, assessment tools, and how to address the diverse needs of clients at all levels for today’s evolving job market. The facilitators' approaches addressed the real-world applications. I now feel more confident and equipped to guide others in aligning their personalities, abilities, interest s, and aspirations with meaningful career paths. First of all I thank the almighty God for making this happen, secondly, I am so grateful for this milestone which wouldn't have happened without ourselves the participants,your input as CCA facilitators, receive my utmost gratitude, it happened that I was the youngest in this class not in terms of age but experience in matters career, I found myself as an administrative assistant in the Office of Career services at Machakos around two years now, my experience there necessitated me to look for what best I could do because I found my self more of a career counselor than an administrative assistant and when I got this opportunity to attend this course I saw it as God given, thank you once again for I know the knowledge so gained will impact my many student clients. The Career Guidance and Counselling training has given me a wider and clearer view of career pathways. The need for intentional careers aligned to personality can not be underrated. Am a clinical psychologist and a career coach, this training is what I needed to support my clients even better,the psychometric assesments combined with my skills of therapy and training will benefit many learners.
